Implementation of the Stockerau district development - building construction and roadworks

The Municipality of Stockerau intends to redesign the Kleine Marktplatz square. The existing fountain on the square will be replaced by a greened trellis structure, enabling unobstructed pedestrian routes along the main axes and creating natural shading. The redesign improves the quality of the square as a place to stay and contributes to a climate-resilient town centre. The carriageway level of the main road at the square will be raised to the level of the square, and access to Kirchengasse and Muehlgasse will be improved. The square will be extended towards the main road by integrating six parking spaces. The remaining five parking spaces, one of them an accessible parking space, will also be raised to square level.
