Uppdraget omfattar tillhandahållande av grävmaskin inklusive förare för löpande mark- och schaktarbeten året runt inom Orust kommuns verksamhetsområde. Arbetet kommer huvudsakligen att utföras inom kommunens VA-verksamhet, men uppdrag kan även förekomma inom andra verksamhetsområden i kommunen. Jourarbete utanför ordinarie arbetstid kan förekomma. Leverantören ska dessutom, vid behov, kunna tillhandahålla anläggningsarbetare för arbete i schakt. Avtalet avser också en grävmaskin inklusive förare (hjulgrävmaskin 13-15 ton) som ska nyttjas i den löpande verksamheten i en omfattning om cirka 40 timmar per vecka under ordinarie arbetsveckor. Behovet av grävmaskin inklusive förare i den dagliga verksamheten kan dock variera över tid och såväl öka som minska under avtalstiden.
