Uppdraget omfattar detaljprojektering av allmän plats inom projektområdet samt nödvändig utredning och samordning i samband med denna. Detaljprojekteringen omfattar Davidshallstorg från fasad till fasad på torgets alla fyra sidor samt delar av anslutande gator, totalt ca 8600 m2. Till grund för detaljprojekteringen finns en förstudie med tillhörande riktlinjer för gestaltning. Torgytan delas in i tre rum med olika karaktär och innehåll. Gatorna på torgets långsidor höjs upp och anpassas för att skapa förutsättningar för gågator med större uteserveringar. I norr byggs delar av Storgatan om för att skapa en sammanhållen gestaltning och öka tillgängligheten för gående. I söder anpassas mötet mellan torget och anslutande gator.
