Sweden - Building construction - Technical buildings at Hallands Hospital Varberg

Region Halland is procuring a design-build-free execution contract for the construction of a technical building at Hallands Hospital Varberg. The works include a two-storey building (basement and ground floor) of approximately 215 m2 per floor, foundation works and cast-in-place outdoor foundations for tanks and technical installations, plus a cast-in-place foundation for a structure of about 50 metres in height to be built under a side contract. Works take place within the hospital area and must consider ongoing operations. The procedure is a selective procedure under Swedish procurement law: contractors first apply to participate in step 1, and those meeting qualification requirements are invited to bid in step 2.
