Sotsiaaltransporditeenuse eesmärk on võimaldada teenust vajaval isikul kasutada tema vajadustele vastavat transpordivahendit tööle, õppe-, tervishoiu-, hoolekande- või rehabilitatsiooniasutusse sõitmiseks, avalike teenuste kasutamiseks või muudeks igapäevaeluks vajalike toimingute tegemiseks. Sotsiaaltransporditeenust osutatakse lastele ja täisealistele isikutele juhuveona üksiksõitudeks tervishoiu-, hoolekande- või rehabilitatsiooniasutusse, avalike teenuste kasutamiseks või muudeks igapäevaeluks vajalike toimingute tegemiseks.
