De gemeente Aa en Hunze (‘de gemeente’) is voornemens om te starten met de ontwikkeling van een nieuwe woonwijk in Gieterveen, gelegen achter het Vonderpad. In dit gebied worden maximaal 40 woningen gerealiseerd, met een heldere stedenbouwkundige structuur die aansluit op het omliggende veenkoloniale landschap. Als onderdeel van deze gebiedsontwikkeling wil de gemeente kavels verkopen voor woningbouw. Naast projectmatige uitgifte is samenwerking gezocht met woningstichting De Volmacht. Het gaat om 12 rijwoningen op kavels van circa 180 tot 250 m² en 6 halfvrijstaande woningen op kavels van circa 250 tot 300 m² (deel 1 op onderstaande afbeelding. Van deze 12 rijwoningen zijn 8 rijwoningen bedoeld voor De Volmacht en 4 rijwoningen voor de gemeente.
