Reconstruction and renewal of the retention area of the 'Lešť Retention Reservoir'

The contract concerns the comprehensive reconstruction of the existing Lešť Retention Reservoir, built in 1980 as a water management work for capturing surface water, transforming flood flows and regulating runoff in the Krtíš river basin. The works aim to restore the reservoir's retention capacity and technical condition so it can continue to fulfil its flood protection, water retention, ecological and fire protection functions in the long term. Planned works include removing sediments from the retention area and reconstructing the operational structures, safety spillway, dam, outlet structures and related building structures, without changing the reservoir's basic capacity parameters. The site is located in the Lešť military district, in the Vidov vrch cadastre area, and the structure is owned by the Slovak Republic.
