De Innovatie Challenge P3Dx richt zich op het ontwikkelen van innovatieve, lab-onafhankelijke tests die zowel in toekomstige pandemische situaties als voor niet-pandemische toepassingen inzetbaar zijn. Het doel is om een robuuste waardeketen van decentrale testinnovaties te stimuleren - van productie tot data-ontsluiting - en daarmee bij te dragen aan betere paraatheid en bredere inzetbaarheid van testtechnologieën.
