Der Gemeindeverband Bezirkskrankenhaus Schwaz plant gemeinsam mit der Tiroler gemeinnützige Wohnungsbau- und Siedlungs Ges.m.b.H. am Areal des BKH Schwaz anstelle des bestehenden und veralteten Bildungszentrums einen Neubau zu errichten.
