Energie Steiermark Waerme GmbH, based in Styria, Austria, invites tenders for the disposal and recovery of combustion residues from twelve biomass heating plants fuelled mainly with wood chips and bark. The residues include bottom ash, fly and fine fly ash and ash mixtures, which must be handed over to authorised waste management companies for proper and environmentally sound disposal or recovery in line with Section 15 (5a) of the Austrian Waste Management Act 2002. Framework contracts are awarded for these services, divided into 16 lots, one per heating plant and ash type. The best bidder for each lot will conclude a framework contract.
