Construction of a new waste collection centre and extension of the fire station with training rooms

The works involve building a new recyclable materials collection centre next to the existing volunteer fire station in Bad Vigaun. Under a covered outdoor area, 12 large collection containers will be installed along with spaces for small containers, glass containers and other collection containers. A single-storey building will house welfare rooms, a customer toilet and a hazardous waste store. Sand and grit storage areas, plus separated storage for batteries and empty gas containers, are planned in the uncovered area. The project also includes an operational filling station with a 10,000 litre diesel tank split into two chambers for standard and winter diesel, with the refuelling area doubling as a washing place, fully covered and connected to an oil separator. The fire station will be extended by an annex providing a truck bay and equipment room on the ground floor, and a lounge, training room and storage room upstairs.
