The European Medicines Agency (EMA) is a decentralised agency of the European Union (EU). It is responsible for the scientific evaluation, supervision and safety monitoring of medicines. EMA operates from its Headquarters in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. EMA is evaluating the possibility of launching in the future a tender procedure for the procurement of services related to the planning, organization, and delivery of tabletop exercises in the fields of physical security, crisis management and business continuity. The services would be related to tabletop exercises having as baseline scenarios major security incidents occurring at the EMA premises and/or in the hosting environment (Amsterdam, North Holland, The Netherlands), or any other serious incident or event potentially affecting the normal operations of the Agency or the safety and security of its personnel, assets, information and operations, either in The Netherlands, Europe or Worldwide. The market research is intended to foster EMA’s understanding of services available in the market as well the characteristics of the economic operators delivering said services. Participation in the survey is not a prerequisite to submit a tender if the procurement procedure will be published. Participating to the market research in no case implies a commitment from the European Medicines Agency to procure services to any participant, and no costs can be charged to the European Medicines Agency as a result of the participation to the market research. The economic operators commit to provide the answers at their own cost, purely for commercial awareness purposes and decline to advance any liability or demand any financial commitment to the European Medicines Agency.
