Doelstelling van De Rechtspraak is om uiteindelijk één platform voor Online Zitten beschikbaar te stellen, dat geschikt is voor alle rechtsgebieden (straf, bestuur, toezicht en civiel) en alle type zittingen (volledig digitale zitting, hybride zitting, bijzondere online zitting en online verhoor). De geraamde Opdrachtwaarde bedraagt circa €3.650.000,- exclusief omzetbelasting. Zie paragraaf 2.2 van het Beschrijvend Document
