Als bouwplanbegeleider ben je het eerste anspreekpunt voor initiatiefnemers bij bouwinitiatieven en -aanvragen. Je behandelt aanvragen voor omgevingsvergunningen en conceptverzoeken. Daarnaast behoort het geven van advies aan het college van B&W bij de taken. Je toetst bouwplannen aan het Omgevingsplan (en de hierin opgenomen bestemmingsplannen), de Omgevingswet (bij eventuele langlopende zaken nog aan de Wet algemene bepalingenomgevingswet), de bijbehorende besluiten bij de Omgevingswet (Besluit bouwwerken leefomgeving, Besluit kwaliteit leefomgeving en bijvoorbeeld Omgevingsbesluit). Tevens adviseer en informeer je over regelgeving en procedures, je bewaakt de voortgang van de aanvragen en zorgt voor naleving van wettelijke termijnen en soepele afhandeling van bouwprojecten.
