De opdracht betreft een zeer specialistische vorm van jeugdhulp die uitsluitend geleverd kan worden binnen een ziekenhuisomgeving door kinderartsen die bevoegd zijn en ingericht zijn om deze zorg te leveren. Het betreft daarmee geen reguliere zorg maar een specifieke combinatie van kindergeneeskundige expertise; ADHD-diagnostiek; medicamenteuze behandeling; monitoring van medicatie; samenwerking met huisartsen; samenwerking met jeugdartsen en samenwerking met overige ziekenhuisafdelingen. Deze ziekenhuiszorg maakt een integraal onderdeel uit van de bredere ADHD-zorgketen in de Hart van Brabant regio, waar ziekenhuizen, huisartsen en jeugdgezondheidszorg gezamenlijk samenwerken aan passende en doelmatige zorg voor jeugdigen.
