Het huidige schoolgebouw van de Prinses Beatrixschool in Heemstede is technisch en functioneel verouderd. Daarom is de gemeente Heemstede voornemens vervangende huisvesting voor de basisschool te realiseren. Het wordt een school voor 290 leerlingen. De nieuwe huisvesting wordt een aansprekend en gasloos gebouw. Het programma omvat ca. 1.670 m2 bvo. Op de kavel bevindt zich een bestaand en te behouden gebouw van Les Petits Kinderopvang waarin peuteropvang en BSO wordt aangeboden. Dit gebouw bevindt zich buiten de scope van de Opdracht maar zal wel fysiek verbonden worden met de nieuwbouw. Er wordt eveneens BSO (ca. 2 groepen) aangeboden in dubbelgebruik in de nieuwbouw. Stichting TWijs is de Opdrachtgever en Aanbesteder van deze Opdracht. De vervangende nieuwbouw wordt gerealiseerd op de huidige locatie van de school aan de Von Brücken Focklaan 2 in Heemstede. Het huidige schoolgebouw moet worden gesloopt (door de aannemer die volgt uit deze Aanbesteding). Zie ook de selectieleidraad. Circa 1.655 m2 bvo van het bestaande gebouw moet gesloopt worden met uitzondering van de huidige speelzaalvloer en -constructie. De kinderopvang (hieronder gelegen) valt buiten de scope van de Opdracht en moet behouden blijven. Het nieuwe gebouw heeft voorlopig een bruto vloeroppervlakte van circa 1.670 m2 en 2 bouwlagen en kent het volgende programma: • Prinses Beatrixschool met 12 groepsruimten en 290 leerlingen • Les Petits buitenschoolse opvang met maximaal 2 groepen in dubbelgebruik Zie ook de selectieleidraad voor meer informatie.
