Description

Voor Vrachtwagenheffing, die in 2026 operationeel wordt, voert RWS diverse taken uit. DGMo en RWS hebben hiervoor op 31 maart 2023 een uitvoeringsovereenkomst ondertekend. De RDW is door DGMo aangewezen als coördinerende uitvoeringsorganisatie. RWS faciliteert locaties op Rijkswegen en verzorgt voeding en connectiviteit bij 61 portalen, zodat de Waarnemingspartij apparatuur kan plaatsen. Daarnaast worden opstel- en handhavingslocaties ingericht voor ILT-inspecteurs. Ook wordt een monitoringsnetwerk aangelegd op Rijkswegen en het onderliggend wegennet om uitwijk van vrachtverkeer te volgen. Hierbij wordt gebruik gemaakt van bestaande portalen, voedingspunten en het glasvezelnetwerk van RWS. De locaties van de portalen zijn reeds vastgesteld.
