Project: P505546 - Moldova: Restoring Ecosystems for Marine Pollution Prevention Financing: World Bank GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA Project Preparation Grant (PPG) for the Preparation of the Moldova Restoring Ecosystems for Marine Pollution Prevention Project (RE-MAP) Environmental sector GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE GEF-PPG Grant No. TF0C5891 The Republic of Moldova has received financing in the amount of US$200,000 from the World Bank toward the cost of the Grant for the Preparation of the Moldova Restoring Ecosystems for Marine Pollution Prevention Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, consulting services and training to be procured under this project. The Project Preparation Grant (PPG) will enable the Government of Moldova to design and prepare the Moldova WATER-MAP Project (Project). Project preparation will include preparing environmental and social framework (ESF) documents, technical studies, fiduciary documents, and consulting with relevant stakeholders. The proposed activities financed with the PPG will help produce key Project preparation documents. Expected procurement under the PPG consist in recruitment of part-time procurement specialist, financial management specialist, environment and social consultants as well as a team of technical experts (Hydrology & Groundwater, Wetland and forest specialists etc.) for the Preparation of the Moldova Restoring Ecosystems for Marine Pollution Prevention Project (RE-MAP). The PPG will also finance the operating costs and potentially small value office equipment. Procurement of contracts financed by the World Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers, dated September 2023 (Procurement Regulations), and is open to all eligible firms and individuals as defined in the Procurement Regulations. The World Bank shall arrange the publication on its external website of the agreed initial procurement plan and all subsequent updates since it has provided “No Objection”. Specific procurement notices for contracts subject to open national competitive procurement will be announced, as they become available, if the case, on the World Bank’s external website and on NOIEP’s website: https://onipm.gov.md/.
