Malta - Construction works for sewage treatment plants, purification plants and refuse incineration plants - WSC/T/095/2025 - DESIGN, BUILD, TEST AND COMMISSION AN UPGRADE OF THE GOZO WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT USING ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY MEASURES AND FIDIC CONDITIONS FOR THE WATER SERVICES CORPORATION

The Water Services Corporation awarded a contract for the design, build, testing and commissioning of an upgrade of the Gozo wastewater treatment plant, using environmentally friendly measures and FIDIC Conditions. The works provide process and hydraulic resilience so the plant can treat all raw wastewater effectively and efficiently up to at least the year 2040. The upgrade brings treatment capacity to an average of 14,000 cubic metres per day. The offer also covers a new water reclamation plant producing an additional 4,000 cubic metres of 'New Water'. The project is implemented in two phases. The estimated value is EUR 25,795,000 and the contract has been awarded.
