Detailed design services for the KoVa high-level reservoir - part of the Supplementary Water project

Gavle Vatten AB is procuring design documentation services for the construction of a new high-level reservoir near Lapphallsvagen in Gavle. The reservoir will be located at the highest point of the supplementary water (technical raw water) system between the Mon water treatment plant and the delivery points to the west. It will act as a pressure equaliser at the system's high point, maintaining pressure by controlling the Mon pump station towards a constant water level in the reservoir, normally about +65 m above sea level, and protecting the pipe network from harmful over- and under-pressure during rapid flow changes. The reservoir will be a flow-through reservoir with an inlet and outlet pipe so that all water passing towards delivery points west of the reservoir flows through it, ensuring good turnover. The inlet and outlet design must prevent dead zones.
