Le projet consiste en l’extension du restaurant scolaire de l’établissement comprenant la salle de sports et le restaurant scolaire sur la commune de Lauwin Planque. La salle de sports est dédiée aux associations et aux usages scolaires à vocation d’éducation physique et sportive, et le restaurant scolaire pour les enfants d’écoles maternelles et élémentaires. L'extension prolonge le bâtiment existant par la réalisation d'un volume en simple rez de chaussée, se raccordant aux points d'accroches des existants et aux formes inclinées afin de se fondre totalement au contexte bati et paysager. La façade arrière de l'extension viendra s'implanter sur la limite de zone, et l'extension sera le prolongement direct de la salle de restaurant actuelle. L'extension fait moins de 150m² et moins de 30% de la surface de référence et n'est donc pas soumis à la RE2020. Les façades de l’extension seront couvertes des mêmes matériaux que l'existant : bardage bois par lames verticales à claire voie, bardage métallique lisse laqué "gold", menuiseries aluminium gris naturel. La toiture sera réalisée en étanchéité végétalisée, comme les toitures existantes.
