Description

Le collège Manuel Azaña, situé à Montauban, a été construit en 2009 par l'architecte Roger Taillibert sur un site accueillant les bâtiments d'une Section d'Enseignement Général et Professionnel Adapté toujours présente. La capacité d'accueil initiale du collège était de 400 élèves, mais au fil du temps cet effectif a augmenté et arrive aujourd'hui à ses limites avec plus de 570 élèves accueillis hors SEGPA. Pour permettre cette augmentation, des bâtiments modulaires ont été installés dans l'unique cour il y quelques années pour pallier le manque d'espace et de salles de classes disponibles au sein de l'établissement. Malgré une construction relativement récente, ce fonctionnement a conduit le Département à engager la construction d'une extension du collège Manuel Azaña afin de pouvoir porter la capacité d'accueil à 630 élèves, hors SEGPA. Les travaux portent sur l'extension du bâtiment et sur le réaménagement de certains espaces existants
