The contract covers construction works to condition, improve and rehabilitate the diversion weir of Pont de Molins on the River Muga, in the municipality of Pont de Molins, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the ERDF Catalonia 2021-2027 programme. The weir forms part of the Darnius Boadella reservoir system and dates from the late 1960s, channelling water into the right and left canals of the Muga. It has six gates, three on each bank, which are operational but in uncertain condition. The works include replacing the weir's discharge gates and the intake gates of the irrigation canals, dismantling, repairing and widening the discharge gate decks of the intake chamber, and installing metal stop logs at the discharge gates and upstream of the load chamber gates.
