Description

La Universidad de las Illes Balears (en adelante UIB) dispone de diferentes elementos de seguridad cuya misión principal es proteger su infraestructura TIC y, por consiguiente, sus datos y sus servicios. El elemento principal de este ecosistema de seguridad son los cortafuegos, dispositivos que principalmente se encargan de controlar el acceso de los usuarios a los recursos disponibles en la infraestructura TIC de la Universidad. El fabricante de los actuales cortafuegos ya ha anunciado la fecha de finalización de su soporte y el actual servicio de mantenimiento ya no podrá renovarse; por tanto, se requiere la sustitución de estos cortafuegos por nuevo equipamiento. El objeto de este contrato es la adquisición de nuevos cortafuegos y de la plataforma de gestión unificada de éstos y de sus logs, así como el mantenimiento de todos estos elementos durante cinco años. Los nuevos cortafuegos y su plataforma de gestión ofrecerán un importante conjunto de mejoras técnicas, entre ellas, una mayor capacidad de procesamiento de sesiones de red, una capa de inteligencia que permite analizar las trazas del tráfico de red y la ampliación del ancho de banda de sus enlaces con la infraestructura de red de la Universidad, redundando todo ello en un mejor servicio de red a toda la comunidad universitaria.
