El objeto del contrato es la prestación de los servicios postales de carácter ordinario para el Ayuntamiento de Madrid y sus Organismos Autónomos, que consistirán en la recogida, admisión, clasificación, transporte y entrega en el domicilio de los destinatarios, en un solo intento, de documentos escritos y ordinariamente cerrados de hasta 2.000 gramos, así como la devolución o la eventual destrucción de los mismos si así se demandase, cuando no pueda efectuarse la entrega al destinatario, con las garantías establecidas por la normativa vigente. Todos los servicios incluidos se encuadran dentro de la normativa postal vigente.
