Description

El Servicio de Ayuda a domicilio se define en el artículo 36 de la ley 3/2019, de 18 de febrero, de servicios sociales inclusivos de la Comunitat Valenciana, como una prestación profesional que consiste en el cuidado y actuaciones realizadas principalmente en el domicilio y en el entorno social de la persona con la finalidad de atender las necesidades de la vida diaria y de prestar apoyo personal de carácter polivalente y preventivo, seguimiento y acompañamiento para las personas y, en su caso, unidad de convivencia, que presenten dificultades físicas, intelectuales, cognitivas, de salud mental o sociales, o se encuentren en situación de vulnerabilidad. Es un servicio comunitario, de carácter social, que ofrece un apoyo individualizado a nivel preventivo, educativo y asistencial a familias o personas solas con dificultades para mantener o restablecer su bienestar físico y/o social, favoreciendo que puedan continuar viviendo en su vivienda y/o entorno, mientras sea posible y conveniente.; Este recurso, integrado en el Sistema de Atención a la Dependencia, pretende garantizar la atención a las personas que, después de su valoración de grado de dependencia, cuentan con la resolución de su Programa Individual de Atención (PIA). Es un servicio que se incluye en el catálogo de Prestaciones y Servicios del Sistema para la Autonomía y Atención a la Dependencia, definido en el artículo 23, de la Ley 39/2006 de 14 de diciembre de Promoción de Autonomía Personal y Atención a las personas en situación de dependencia.
