Con motivo de la DANA ocurrida entre los días 28 de octubre y 4 de noviembre de 2024, el Barranco de Picassent, a su paso por el Barrio del Omet, sufrió numerosos daños en los márgenes del cauce. Se trata de una zona urbana con viviendas en ambos márgenes, habiendo sido afectados numerosos tramos de muros de contención junto a los viales, que han sido deteriorados, y las viviendas, varias de las cuales han sido desalojadas. Resulta necesario, pues, volver a ejecutar los muros, reponiendo todos los servicios públicos perjudicados .Asimismo, los taludes del barranco entre tramos de muro también han sufrido erosión, siendo preciso estabilizarlos.
