La incorporación de un sistema de microscopía multifotónica supondría un avance tecnológico sus-tancial respecto a las capacidades actualmente disponibles en el centro. La microscopía confocal de dos fotones permite la observación de estructuras y procesos biológicos en tejidos vivos con una mayor profundidad y precisión, reduciendo de forma significativa la fototoxicidad y el ruido óptico, lo que resulta especialmente relevante para el estudio de patologías complejas. El uso que ha ido teniendo la citometría de flujo en el análisis clínico y en diagnóstico, se prevé en un futuro próximo su posible utilización para la separación de células y/o vesículas extracelulares destinadas a terapias avanzadas. La incorporación de este equipo a la unidad de Investigación del HNP, puede poner a la investigación en HNP y Castilla-La Mancha a la cabeza de tecnologías en España. El microscopio confocal de dos fotones es una herramienta revolucionaria para la investigación biomédica, ya que permite observar estructuras y procesos en tejidos vivos con una profundidad y precisión inalcanzables por otros métodos; Citómetro para la separación de células en base a marcadores específicos, la tecnología espectral proporciona una mayor precisión en la identificación de tipos celulares relacionados con el desarrollo de patologías. Por tanto, la aplicación de esta tecnología optimizará los resultados de investigación en modelos experimentales de enfermedades neurológicas, destacando la lesión medular
