Se pretende la creación y dotación de un laboratorio de investigación en tecnologías 5G avanzado y futuras generaciones 6G, destinado a posibilitar actividades de experimentación, validación tecnológica y desarrollo de nuevos servicios y aplicaciones basados en comunicaciones móviles de nueva generación. Para la correcta ejecución del proyecto resulta necesario proceder a la adquisición e instalación del equipamiento científico-técnico y de infraestructuras de red necesarias, garantizando la disponibilidad de un entorno tecnológico adecuado para el desarrollo de proyectos de investigación, innovación y transferencia tecnológica, así como para la colaboración con empresas y organismos públicos y privados.
