La Unidad de Espectroscopia, perteneciente a la División de Química del Departamento de Tecnología, se dedica a proyectos que pretenden desarrollar e implementar en distintas aplicaciones materiales grafénicos. El objeto del presente contrato es el suministro, instalación y puesta en marcha de un difractómetro de rayos x a fin de dotar de equipamiento de última generación en el Laboratorio de rayos X perteneciente a la Unidad de Espectroscopia, incluida en el recientemente creado Laboratorio de Materiales (LABMAT) en el marco del Plan Estratégico del CIEMAT. Con esta adquisición se contribuirá en la actualización de la instrumentación y capacidades de la Unidad, actualmente con serias limitaciones por falta de renovación instrumental y así abordar la demanda creciente de análisis estructurales de materiales de muy diversa naturaleza. Por tanto, el objetivo final sería satisfacer las necesidades en caracterización estructural planteadas durante el desarrollo de proyectos de investigación del CIEMAT, así como la resolución de problemas planteados por otros organismos o empresas a través de la Oficina de Transferencia de Tecnología.
