Description
The EEA intends to conduct a study based on existing data and methods to spatially define and assess small-scale fisheries (SSF) fishing activity in coastal and marine areas across Europe’s seas. The aim of the study is to improve the current coverage and estimates of fishing effort associated with SSF in the EU. Outcomes shall contribute to
assessing the impacts of human activities and their combined effects on marine ecosystems, marine spatial planning, impact assessment, fisheries management and conservation measures.
