Denmark - High-voltage cable - 220 kV Submarine cable systems for the SLF02-project

Energinet Eltransmission A/S has awarded a contract for the complete functional supply of approximately 20 km of 220 kV three-core submarine cable, installed as 3 separate, parallel cable systems and containing an optical fibre cable. The supply covers design, fabrication and factory testing, transport of cable and accessories to a port in Zealand, Denmark, installation of transition joints and hang offs, and completion and commissioning. The cables will form three new 220 kV cable systems connecting the Vordingborg Nord (VONØ) substation to the Eskilstrup (ESK) and Nørre Radsted (NRA) substations. The contract was won by LS Cable & System Ltd for EUR 20,578,268, which is 14% below the estimated value of EUR 24,000,000.
