Projektet "Fremtidens Taastrupgaard" er de sidste to etaper af i alt 3 etaper. Fremtidens Taastrupgaard er en del af en samlet helhedsplan for Taastrupgaard området. Hele kvarteret og boligerne skal have et væsentlig kvalitetsløft og skal samtidig honorere kravene i den af Folketinget vedtagne Parallelsamfundspakken. Etape 2 og 3 omhandler renoveringen af 19 blokke inkl. nedrivningsarbejder og terrænarbejder. Der er tale om en gennemgribende renovering, hvor facaderne udskiftes eller efterisoleres, der etableres ny varmeforsyning, ny ventilationssystem, nye elinstallationer, nye altaner, nye gulve og køkkener. Derudover nedrives 2 hele blokke. Som en del af facaderenoveringen nedtages alle bygningernes langfacader, og de bærende søjler forsegles for at forhindre afgivelse af PCB. På flere blokke nedtages/nedtrappes dele bygningen. Som en integreret del af projektet indgår der også væsentlige terræn- og belægningsarbejder i projektet. I Etape 2, der udføres først, indgår der 301 boliger, der reduceres til 214 boliger. I Etape 3, der udføres efterfølgende, indgår der 221 boliger, der reduceres til 183 boliger. I Etape 2 og 3 indgår der i alt 522 boliger, der reduceres til 397 boliger. Derudover indeholder etape 2 og 3 følgende boligændringer: Ommærkning - 14 mindre boliger ændres til ungdomsboliger - 18 boliger ændres til tilgængelighedsboliger Fortætning - 46 boliger sammenlægges til 23 boliger Nedrivning - 102 boliger nedrives helt Boligændringer - 24 boliger ændres til drive-in-boliger
