Opgaven gennemføres som ét samlet totalrådgiverudbud, der omfatter både ombygninger, tilbygninger, etablering af faglokaler samt tilpasning af udearealer på begge lokationer. Pindstrupskolen og Mørke Skole står over for en samlet kapacitets- og ombygningsopgave med indbyrdes afhængige etaper. En elevgruppe med multiple funktionsnedsættelser flyttes fra Pindstrupskole til Mørke Skole, hvilket kræver specialindrettede ombygninger og evt. tilbygning. Midlertidige pavilloner i Pindstrup kan først fjernes, når den permanente løsning i Mørke er klar. Herefter opføres nye bygninger i Pindstrup for at samle specialskolens øvrige funktioner, herunder elever fra Tøstrup. Projektet omfatter også forbedrede udearealer, adgangsforhold, parkering og personalefaciliteter på begge skoler.
