The works concern the extension and partial renovation of the existing CHW building at Monceau-sur-Sambre, an active restoration workshop for historic trains. The works include: an extension of about 4500 m2 on the north side and about 3000 m2 on the south side of the existing building to create a storage depot for historic rolling stock; a box-in-box volume for storing four royal carriages with strict climate requirements for temperature and relative humidity; a new fossil-fuel-free air conditioning installation for the existing building; and energy renovation of an office area, including envelope improvements and limited interior works. The contract covers structural works, finishing, electricity, HVAC, IT and surrounding roads.
