The Federal Agency for Nuclear Control (FANC/AFCN) in Belgium is procuring a sampling and measurement programme to determine radioactivity in the atmosphere, on land, in water and in the food chain for the period 2027-2030. The programme covers periodic samples of environmental components across the whole Belgian territory, in particular around nuclear sites, the Brussels Capital Region and the Belgian coast, followed by radioactivity analyses. It also covers monitoring in Wallonia, Flanders and Brussels, the agricultural area of the Givet pocket near Chooz in France, and liquid discharges from nuclear and non-nuclear sites.
