The clinical laboratory of VITAZ vzw in Belgium wishes to replace its current equipment for Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization Time-of-Flight (MALDI-TOF) Mass Spectrometry. The goal is to ensure fast and accurate identification of (myco)bacteria, yeasts and fungi from cultures of various clinical, human samples. The purchase includes delivery, installation, commissioning, validation and operator training. The contract also covers a framework agreement for instrument-bound consumables and reagents during the estimated economic lifetime of the equipment, plus an all-in service and maintenance contract after the warranty period, extendable while the equipment remains in use.
