Digipolis, acting inter alia for the City of Antwerp, seeks a partner to supply, install and maintain sensors that measure the actual fill level of small-volume waste systems such as litter bins and other waste systems. The contract also covers software to monitor fill levels, predict their evolution using historical measurement data and plan optimal collection routes for waste vehicles, deploying available trucks efficiently according to required capacity. Existing sensors will not be replaced; all existing and future sensors must be accessible in one software system. The software must also include freely chosen collection points, e.g. for fly-tipping removal, aiming to optimise emptying considering staff, working time, vehicles, weight, volume, consumption, CO2 emissions, costs and traffic. Split into two lots: Lot 1, a framework for sensors for above-ground waste systems and litter bins including a real-time API with sensor data; Lot 2, a framework for the software solution.
