Belgium - Construction works - Execution of the 'Oosterweeleiland Redevelopment' project

The Port of Antwerp-Bruges has awarded a works contract for the execution of the 'Oosterweeleiland Redevelopment' project. The works consist of the complete reconstruction of all bridge, road and rail infrastructure, including ancillary works on the Oosterweelsteenweg between the Noordkasteel bridges and the Vosseschijnstraat, and the Wilmarsdonksteenweg between the Oosterweelsteenweg and the N180. The Wilmarsdonk and Oosterweel bridges have reached the end of their service life and are being replaced. A definitive cycle path and a temporary diversion road will also be built near Thorntonroad up to Romeynsweel. Most of the scope will be developed into a detailed design within a building team formula. The contract was awarded to TM Crusoe for EUR 113,347,504.21.
