Description

Het te saneren terrein is gelegen in de ‘Kerkwijk’ in Mariakerke (Gent). Ten noorden en oosten van de site bevinden zich woningen. Ten zuiden, grenzend aan het terrein, bevindt zich de Rietgracht. Het terrein is gelegen in een gebied dat behoort tot het Vlaams Ecologisch Netwerk, zijnde de Vallei van de Benedenleie waartoe de Bourgoyen behoort. De verontreiniging is afkomstig van een voormalig zuurteerstort dat in de jaren ‘60 werd gebruikt voor het storten van puinafval en zuurteer, een restproduct dat ontstaat bij de productie van olie. • De Opdracht heeft als voorwerp enerzijds de opmaak van een bodemsaneringsproject en project-MER en anderzijds de uitvoering, begeleiding en veiligheidscoördinatie van de bodemsaneringswerken beschreven in dit bodemsaneringsproject (inclusief monitoring en eventuele nazorg). • Daarbij dienen de in de Selectieleidraad en het Bestek gedefinieerde saneringsdoelstellingen, bereikt te worden zodat uiteindelijk kan worden overgegaan tot het afsluiten van de sanering. De Opdrachtnemer gaat dus een resultaatsverbintenis hiervoor met OVAM aan.
