Description

The Representation of the European Commission in Estonia intends to purchase a comprehensive advertising campaign to promote the activities of Europe Day 2026. The campaign will focus primarily on the two key cities - Tallinn and Narva - where the largest events organized by the EC Representation will take place. We are seeking to commission a campaign that covers the full spectrum of promotional channels in order to achieve the widest possible reach. This includes outdoor advertising, radio spots, online advertising, targeted campaigns on social media platforms, content marketing, and - where possible - television advertising. The goal is to ensure that the visibility and awareness of Europe Day 2026 extend broadly across society, engaging diverse audiences and highlighting the values of peace and unity that the day represents. In May 2026, Estonia will once again celebrate Europe Day with large-scale public events in Tallinn and Narva, emphasizing 9 May as a day of peace and unity in Europe. Building on the success of previous years, the program highlights both festive and educational activities designed to reach diverse audiences across the country. In Tallinn, the celebrations will open with an engaging orienteering game around the city, the announcement of the “European of the Year.” The central event, “Our Estonia, Our Europe,” will take place on Freedom Square, where EU embassies and related organizations will present exhibitions and activities. Visitors will be able to explore European cultures and take part in interactive programs. The day will culminate in a free evening concert at Freedom Square, broadcast live on ETV and ETV+, bringing together well-known performers to symbolize unity through music. In Narva, Europe Day will continue to serve as a meaningful alternative to festivities across the river. The main concert on Town Hall Square will feature beloved artists and local school groups, attracting residents of Narva, Ida-Viru County, and guests from further afield. The University of Tartu Narva College will again host an international language café or Just Transition Fund job fair (tbc) with the participation of foreign embassies. Alongside the concerts, visitors can join an orienteering game, explore the EU information tent, and enjoy the café area. The overall aim of Europe Day 2026 is to strengthen the narrative of peace over victory, ensuring that European values and voices are at the heart of the public sphere on 9 May. Events are organized in cooperation with the European Commission Representation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Government Office, the Ministry of Culture, the Integration Foundation, and local Europe Direct centers across Estonia.
