Die Innovationserhebung ( Bericht (DE), Webseite (DE)) liefert Informationen über die Innovationsaktivitäten von Schweizer Unternehmen, die Aktivitäten im Bereich Wissens- und Technologietransfer (WTT) zwischen den Hochschulen und der Privatwirtschaft sowie den Einsatz von Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien (IKT) in den Schweizer Unternehmen (seit 2000). Die Erhebung bildet damit eine wesentliche Grundlage für evidenzbasierte Innovationspolitik in der Schweiz. Die Daten werden an Eurostat, die OECD und UNCTAD zwecks internationalen Vergleichs weitergeleitet. Sie dienen diversen Forschungsgruppen als Grundlage ihrer eigenen Statistiken. Darüber hinaus liefert der IKT-Teil der Erhebung Indikatoren zur Digitalisierung in der Privatwirtschaft in Erfüllung des Auftrags des Bundesrats im Rahmen der „Strategie für eine Informationsgesellschaft“ (BBl 2006 1877). Gegenstand der vorliegenden Ausschreibung ist die Fortsetzung der Innovationserhebung um zwei weitere Erhebungen im bisherigen Umfang (2027-2030).
