The Republic of Moldova has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Moldova Rural Connectivity Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contracts[1] for Procurement of Rehabilitation Works on Corridor 8 under Lot 1: Contract MRCP/W1/01: Road G88: Cornești - Boghenii Noi - Năpădeni - M5, km 0+000 - km 16+200 and Lot 2: Contract MRCP/W1/02: Road G88: Cornești - Boghenii Noi - Năpădeni - M5, km 16+200 - km 25+090 (Section 1) and Road G86: G88 - Dereneu - G85, km 0+000 - km 8+395 (Section 2) . Bidder can Bid for any one lot or for both the lots. 2. The J.S.C.”National Road Administration” (NRA) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the rehabilitation works under MRCP/W1/01-02, inclusive of all the necessary road improvement activities such as earthworks, road pavement rehabilitation/widening, repair works to structures, intersections, structures, drainage, incidental and safety facilities, road marking, signing and sidewalks, rearrangement of engineering services, etc. The Scope of Works includes as provided below: - Earthworks as fill and excavation works - 236 158 m3; - Asphalt concrete milling - 46 946 m3; - Cold recycling asphalt concrete mixed in plant - 278 428 m2; - Asphalt concrete for pavement - 525 241 m2; - Construction of paved waterways (ditches, spillways) - 18 364 l.m.; - Culverts construction and rehabilitation - 1 185 l.m.; - Guardrail installation - 6 223 l.m.; - Bridge construction and rehabilitation - 2 pcs.; - Road signs installations - 2 320 pcs.; - Road marking - 15 191 m2; - Arrangement of underground communication cables - 10 051 l.m. 3. Bidders may Bid for one or several contracts, as further defined in the bidding document. Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers- Procurement in Investment Projects Financing; Goods, Works, Non-Consulting and Consulting Services,’ dated September 2023 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations. 5.
