Description

NatureScot intends to engage with the market to understand the capability, capacity, and approaches available for delivering evidence based wildfire resilience assessment and long term mitigation planning for Beinn Eighe National Nature Reserve (NNR), located near Kinlochewe in the Highlands of Scotland. As part of this we would like to look at the comparative wildfire resilience of the main habitat types found on the NNR, which could help to inform future management to improve resilience, ideally through nature-based solutions Beinn Eighe, designated in 1951 as the UK’s first National Nature Reserve, contains the largest remnant of Caledonian Pinewood in north west Scotland and is of exceptional ecological value. As part of developing the procurement approach NatureScot is seeking views and information from the marketplace through this Prior Information Notice PIN. A supplier questionnaire has been prepared to support this market engagement exercise and can be accessed here https://www.cognitoforms.com/ScotlandExcel1/OnBehalfOfNatureScotScottishNaturalHeritageBeinnEigheWildfireProject Interested organisations are invited to submit responses to this Prior Information Notice by Wednesday 3rd June at 12:00pm by completing the supplier questionnaire available via the link provided within this notice. This exercise is being undertaken as part of early market engagement to inform the development of the requirement and the associated procurement approach. Participation in this exercise is voluntary and will not confer any advantage or disadvantage in any subsequent procurement process. NatureScot reserves the right to engage further with suppliers following this exercise to clarify responses or explore potential delivery approaches.
