Description

The City of Edinburgh Council is appointing a Contractor to deliver 90 new residential homes, two commercial units and minor public realm works as part of the Pennywell Town Centre project. This is the final phase of a major regeneration programme for Pennywell and Muirhouse in the North of Edinburgh. This notice is for the works (construction) stage of the project only. Award against framework: New Build Housing Framework Agreement (REF: CT2340) This award notice is only for the works element of the project and follows on from a previously published award notice from the pre-construction services element of the project (ref 769769). It is a mandatory requirement of this Contract that a prompt payment clause is present in all Contracts used in the delivery of the requirements. This ensures payment of sub-contractors at all stages of the supply chain within 30 days and includes an obligation to provide a point of contact for sub-contractors to refer to in the case of payment difficulties. This will require active monitoring of payment performance as well as the provision of evidence and reports to the Council on request or as contractually scheduled. (SC Ref:825164)
