Project: P504282 - Armenia Tourism and Regional Infrastructure Project Financing: World Bank GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA ARMENIA TOURISM AND REGIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT Loan No - 9809-AM Project ID No. P504282 The Government of the Republic of Armenia has received financing in the amount of USD 100 million (IBRD loan) equivalent from the INTERNATIONAL BANK FOR RECONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT (“Bank”) toward the cost of the Tourism and Regional Infrastructure Project (TRIP), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, non-consulting services and consulting services to be procured under this project. The Project development objective is to improve access to climate-resilient infrastructure and increase tourism contribution to the local economy of project-supported clusters in Armenia. The green, inclusive and sustainable development initiatives are to alleviate poverty, reduce regional disparities in basic public services and infrastructure, and stimulate local economic activity. Tourism development is a critical driver of local economic development. Improving living conditions in individual areas and communities, combined with increasing the attractiveness of private sector participation and attracting capital, can significantly contribute to poverty reduction and stimulate regional and local economic activity. Project comprises of following Components TRIP consists of four integrated components that will collectively contribute to improving the access to climate-resilient infrastructure for the benefit of local communities and visitors, enhancing the attractiveness of selected sites, enabling job creation, and increasing the contributions to the local economy from the tourism sector. Component 1: Fostering Integrated and Sustainable Cluster Development; Component 2: Supporting climate-resilient infrastructure and promoting private sector participation; Component 3: Program Management and Operational Support; Component 4: Contingent Emergency Response. Indicative Procurement The following activities are expected to be procured under the project through international competitive procurement and selection procedures: Construction of tourism-supporting transport infrastructure, including ropeway systems connecting key touristic and urban districts; Consulting services of technical supervision under the clusters; Consulting services such as branding, marketing, and promotion activities within the tourism value chain; etc. Procurement Arrangements Procurement will be conducted in accordance with the World Bank Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (September, 2025 edition) and is open to all eligible firms and individuals as defined in the Regulations. Large-scale civil works contracts with an estimated value exceeding USD 10 million each are expected to be procured under the Project.
