With this market survey/ prior information notice Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke) surveys the market and requests information from suppliers concerning the procurement of laboratory-scale biogas reactors . The preliminary procurement target is laboratory-scale continuously stirred tank reactors (CSTRs) for research purposes. Reactors must be suitable for studying process performance, especially the methane production and digestate quality, of anaerobic digestion of various types of biomass: slurries, sludges, manures, and also drier materials (plant biomass, food waste, etc.) as a co-feedstock. Equipment is needed for semi- or fully continuous operation with regular feeding and regular or continuous removal of digestate. Reactors must be equipped with adjustable stirring and temperature control; the heating mechanism must ensure a stable temperature. The equipment must be gas-tight, including for hydrogen. Gas volumes and gas composition must be measurable. The preliminary estimate of the reactor volume is 5-15 liters. The operating parameter data (e.g. temperature) and optional measurements (gas volume, gas composition) must be stored electronically. The estimated requirement is two units, with an option for an additional two units. The procurement entity invites the interested suppliers to participate in a market dialogue by sending their expression of interest and contact details (contact person, e-mail address) by e-mail to kirjaamo@luke.fi and copy to hankintatuki@luke.fi preferably by 6th of March 2026 at the latest. The e-mail should be titled/identified with a mark "Market Survey LUKE/505/02.10.01.00.05/2026 Laboratoriomittakaavan biokaasureaktoreiden hankinta Luonnonvarakeskukselle". The procurement entity may also send further questions and/or draft procurement documents to interest suppliers for comments by email. The schedules presented and other information presented in this notice, such as the planned course of the market dialogue, are preliminary information that may change as the preparation progresses. This market consultation and the information provided in it do not bind or oblige the parties to anything, and do not oblige the procurement entity to make a purchase. All information provided is treated as confidential. Participants of the market consultation are not compensated for participating in the market dialogue, nor for the costs incurred by participating. Participating in the market consultation shall not prevent the supplier from participating in the actual tender, and responding to the market consultation does not affect the supplier's position in the actual tender.
