Project: P170035 - Agriculture Governance, Growth and Resilience Investment Project Financing: World Bank GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA AGRICULTURE GOVERNANCE, GROWTH AND RESILIENCE INVESTMENT PROJECT Agriculture sector GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE IBRD Loan No. 9535-MD Project ID No. P170035 The Republic of Moldova has received financing in the amount of US$55,000,000 equivalent from the World Bank toward the cost of the Agriculture Governance, Growth and Resilience Investment Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, non-consulting services and consulting services to be procured under this project. The project will include the following components: (i) Enhancing Sector Governance and Agriculture Knowledge Management; (ii) Fostering Growth in Underperforming Sub-Sectors; (iii) Strengthening Resilience through irrigation services; (iv) Contingent Emergency Response and (v) Project management. The following goods, works, non-consulting services and consulting services to be procured through open international competitive procurement would be: (a) The Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA) digital transformation systems; (b) National Agency for Food Security (NFSA) phytosanitary register updates; (c) Equipment for NFSA laboratories; (d) Vehicles for state veterinaries, AIPA field offices and veterinary excellence centers; (e) Rehabilitation of Tudora CIS and rehabilitation of Caplani transit pumping station; (f) Irrigation equipment for Tudora CIS and Irrigation equipment for Caplani transit pumping station; (g) Contract management, technical and safeguards supervision for CIS Tudora and CIS Caplani activities, etc. Procurement of contracts financed by the World Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers, dated November 2020 (Procurement Regulations), and is open to all eligible firms and individuals as defined in the Procurement Regulations. After project negotiations, the World Bank shall arrange the publication on its external website of the agreed initial procurement plan and all subsequent updates once it has provided a no objection. Specific procurement notices for contracts subject to open international competitive procurement will be announced, as they become available, in UN Development Business online, on the World Bank’s external website and Consolidated Agricultural Projects’ Management Unit (CAPMU)’s website: www.capmu.md.
